Nationals slugger Bryce Harper is a Las Vegas native, and he’s doing all he can to pay tribute to those who were tragically killed in the Las Vegas shooting a few days ago.
With the Nationals set to take on the Cubs in the National League Division Series on Friday night, Harper elected to wear his heart on his sleeve — err, feet. He’ll need all the help he can get, as Doc’s Sports Service noted the Cubs are fourth in MLB in slugging percentage, at .437, in their official preview for the game.
He tweeted out a photo of the cleats he’ll be wearing for Friday night’s game, which are customized and display “Pray for Las Vegas” on them.
Props to Harper for honoring those who were affected by that despicable act of violence.
