Blake Bortles lowered the boom on a Jets defender during Sunday’s game at the end of a big run, and it was fun to watch.
Bortles did not shy away from contact on the play, and he was not satisfied after racking up over 25 yards on the play. Nope, rather than just trotting out of bounds, he lowered his shoulder and destroyed a Jets defender at the end of the run.
The Jags coaching staff would likely advise him to just run out of bounds next time, looking to protect their signal-caller. But it was entertaining nonetheless.
